Jonas was pretty upset about being skipped over at the Ceremony Of Twelve. We learn that the reason for this is because his job assignment is the Receiver of Memory. What do you think this means? Why does the chief elder say that Jonas will have to endure severe physical pain? Why do you think the community makes such a big deal out of this?
